South Sudan is one of the countries in the world with the worst health indicators. It has the highest maternal mortality and under five years child mortality. In addition to being home to a multitude of endemic diseases, other health issues related to poor socio-economic conditions of the people also increase the burden of providing health care to the people of this infant state of the world. \u00a0<\/p>

The long standing liberation wars in South Sudan did not only destroy lives, but also infrastructure, environment, cultures and economy, \u00a0with consequent environmental degradation, poverty, illiteracy and social disintegration ,to mention a few, as common associates and parts of post war syndromes in this new country called The Republic of South Sudan.<\/p>

Following the signing of CPA in 2005 and the conduction of referendum in 2011 leading to the birth of the Republic Of South Sudan, so many challenges surfaced including the challenge of providing standard, equitable and affordable health services to the people of the newest country on earth.<\/p>

Faced with a situation where the starting point is essentially nothing, and the fact that everything is a priority, the toppest of the top priorities such as security and issues having to do with the national interest and safeguarding national sovereignty were addressed, and services provision by the government was as the result inadequate, as these are pushed to the lowest positions in the list of priorities.<\/p>

\u00a0In developed and developing countries, health systems are established in such a way that they maintain inherent stability by actually funding themselves through incorporation in insurance mechanisms and the government provides guidelines to keep the standard and quality of care by emphasising on research and innovation in the health sciences. This is, in addition to a committed government funding of public health institutions and building strong public-private partnership (PPP) programmes so as to achieve comprehensive health coverage across the entire country.<\/p>

Private sector also has played a crucial role in health care development throughout the globe, and today some of the best institutions in the world are in private domain, reliving pressure from public facilities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
